Welcome to the Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, served by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.
If you are new to the Parish, we invite you to register and make this your spiritual home. Registration not only allows us to accompany you in moments such as serving as a godparent or preparing for marriage, but it also helps the friars to keep you more intentionally in their prayers. Most of all, it is a simple way to become more rooted in and connected to the life of our parish community.
Join Our Parish
The Dominican School of Evangelization will meet on Monday evenings in the Lower Church at St. Vincent’s from October 12 until May 17 (with a break for a few weeks around Christmas). It will also include three afternoons of reflection on November 15, February 7, and April 11. While we do not require those who want to join the course to commit to the whole program, it will be far more fruitful to participate in the whole course rather than just part of it.
This first time through the course is limited to parishioners of Dominican parishes, students in the NYU/CUNY system connected with the Dominican chaplaincy at the Catholic Center, and 3rd Order Dominicans.
Our Thomistic Reading Group will meet on Thursday, October 22, at 7 PM in the Parlors at St. Vincent’s.
Reading Selection: Chapters 3 and 4 - Gerald Vann’s Saint Thomas Aquinas.
All are encouraged to attend even if you haven’t read the selection.

"New Wine" is an opportunity for married couples who have been married for any length of time(whether or not you have children) to come together, pray, enjoy wine, listen to a talk by one of the Dominican friars, and share our experiences regarding the graces and challenges of marriage and family life. This is a time to build friendships with other married couples, learn from one another, and build a stronger relationship with your spouse and a deeper union with God. Join New Wine on Friday, October 23, at 7 PM in the Parlors at St. Vincent's.

On Saturday, October 24, our Parish will host the Called and Gifted program, a powerful opportunity for every parishioner to discern how God has uniquely equipped you for His mission. The Church needs your gifts. This workshop helps uncover the spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit has given you and offers guidance on how they can be fruitfully placed at the service of God, the Church, and our Parish. All are welcome to attend!

Penance and Conquest of Self
Join the SVSC Young Adults for a day retreat at St. Vincent’s on Saturday, October 31, from 9:45 AM to 3 PM. The topic will cover “Self-denial and its necessity in all Christian vocations.”
Cost: $25
Join Family Fellowship on Sunday, November 1, after the 9:30 AM Mass for an All Saints Day Party in the Lower Church! Children are encouraged to dress as saints, or symbols that represent saints, to help celebrate! There will be fun activities, including coloring, "pin the halo on the angel", BINGO, photo set-up for the little saints, and a piñata! Please bring a snack to share!

The Men’s Group will meet on Saturday, November 7, at 10:30 AM in the Parish Center at St. Vincent’s. Participants are welcome to arrive at 10:15 AM for coffee, light refreshments, and quiet fellowship.
Each meeting begins with Mid-Morning Prayer (Terce) led by Fr. Francis, followed by the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel, a brief reflection, and an opportunity for questions. A period of voluntary sharing and discussion on the Gospel and its application to daily Christian life follows.
