If you are new to the Parish, we invite you to register and make this your spiritual home. Registration not only allows us to accompany you in moments such as serving as a godparent or preparing for marriage, but it also helps the friars to keep you more intentionally in their prayers. Most of all, it is a simple way to become more rooted in and connected to the life of our parish community.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke are known as the Synoptic Gospels because their accounts of Jesus and his disciples are seen “with one eye.” What is the concern of the different communities for whom each evangelist is writing his gospel? What is still a concern today?
Fr. Albert Parestky will lead this session of Mystagogy to unpack how the differences give us a fuller picture of Christianity at its beginnings, and how the first Christians saw and proclaimed what God has done in Jesus Christ -- Mark as the apocalyptic gospel, Matthew as the gospel of the new Israel, and Luke as the gospel of salvation history.
This series will meet on Monday evenings at 6:45 PM from September 14 to October 5 in the Lower Church at St. Vincent's.

"New Wine" is an opportunity for married couples who have been married for any length of time(whether or not you have children) to come together, pray, enjoy wine, listen to a talk by one of the Dominican friars, and share our experiences regarding the graces and challenges of marriage and family life. This is a time to build friendships with other married couples, learn from one another, and build a stronger relationship with your spouse and a deeper union with God. Join us for the 4th Annual Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage in Washington, DC, on Saturday, September 26. This is a national pilgrimage celebrating the Rosary at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This full-day event is hosted by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.
Our Parish’s Schola will offer an hour-long concert at 12:45 PM as part of the day’s devotions.

Solemn Mass for the Feast of the Archangels

Immediately following the Solemn Mass, new members will be formally enrolled in the AWC, followed by a light reception downstairs. Those preparing for enrollment are encouraged to order and bring their own St. Thomas cord or medal to be blessed; a limited quantity of cords and medals will also be available.
In celebration of Venerable Rose Hawthorne’s dedication to caring for cancer patients and her concern for the poor, New York City will co-name 68th Street and 1st Ave next to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Church of St. Catherine of Siena in her honor.
The Men’s Group will meet on Saturday, October 3, at 10:30 AM in the Parish Center at St. Vincent’s. Participants are welcome to arrive at 10:15 AM for coffee, light refreshments, and quiet fellowship.
Each meeting begins with Mid-Morning Prayer (Terce) led by Fr. Francis, followed by the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel, a brief reflection, and an opportunity for questions. A period of voluntary sharing and discussion on the Gospel and its application to daily Christian life follows.

The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is designated as the principal Marian Feast of the Parish. For it, we invite you to a Solemn Mass at 6 PM on Wednesday, October 7, at St. Vincent’s, followed by a Rosary Procession to Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.
The Dominican School of Evangelization will meet on Monday evenings in the Lower Church at St. Vincent’s from October 12 until May 17 (with a break for a few weeks around Christmas). It will also include three afternoons of reflection on November 15, February 7, and April 11. While we do not require those who want to join the course to commit to the whole program, it will be far more fruitful to participate in the whole course rather than just part of it.
This first time through the course is limited to parishioners of Dominican parishes, students in the NYU/CUNY system connected with the Dominican chaplaincy at the Catholic Center, and 3rd Order Dominicans.
