Forty Hours Devotion
Solemn Exposition will begin following the 12:10 PM Mass at St. Vincent’s on Friday, March 6, and conclude on Sunday, March 8, at 4 PM with 30 minutes of choral music followed by Solemn Benediction.
Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P.
For the traditional feastday of St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P., we will have a Dominican Rite Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Vincent’s for which the Schola Cantorum will sing Missa Pange lingua by Josquin des Prez.
This Mass will take place amid our Annual Forty Hours Devotions.
Solemnity of St. Patrick
For the Solemnity of St. Patrick, the Patron of the Archdiocese of New York, we will have a Sung Mass and Procession at 6 PM at St. Vincent’s.
Solemnity of St. Joseph
For the Solemnity of St. Joseph, spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Patron of the Universal Church and of the Eastern Province of the Order of Preachers, we will have a Solemn Mass and Procession at 6 PM at St. Vincent’s, for which the Schola Cantorum will sing.
The Mass will include the Roman tradition of blessing St. Joseph’s Day bread. Parishioners are also invited to bring any images, statues, or devotionals of St. Joseph from their homes and to place them in the St. Joseph Chapel on the north side of the church prior to Mass so that they may be blessed alongside the traditional sweets.
A reception will follow the Mass.

The retreat will be led by Fr. Ignatius John Schweitzer, O.P., former Carthusian monk, professor, spiritual director, and coauthor of How to Be His: A 33-Day Dedication to Our Eucharistic Jesus.

Wednesday, February 18, is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent and a day of fasting and abstinence. We will have a Solemn Mass at 6 PM at St. Vincent’s.

Two of her sisters in the Hawthorne Dominicans will share the life and work of their foundress, the daughter of Nathaniel Hawthorne and servant of the poor with incurable cancer.

Academy of Sacred Drama Concert
The Academy of Sacred Drama will offer Alessandro Scarlatti’s Il martirio di Santa Teodosia (The Martyrdom of St. Theodosia of Tyre). This Baroque oratorio tells the story of a fearless saint who spurns suitors, turns down marriage, and embraces martyrdom instead of a wedding veil. All are welcome.

Venerable Pierre Toussaint, by Fr. Francis Belanger, O.P.
Fr. Francis Belanger, O.P., reflects on the life of Venerable Pierre Toussaint, born into slavery in Haiti and later freed in America. In New York City, Pierre became a witness to Christian charity through a life devoted to generosity, humility, and care for the poor.

Healing Mass and Lourdes Blessing at St. Catherine’s
We will have a Sung Mass for the World Day of Prayer for the Sick at St. Catherine’s at 12 NOON. Mass will conclude with a sprinkling of Lourdes Water and a special blessing for the sick and for healthcare workers. A reception will follow.
Men's Group Monthly Meeting
The Men’s Group will meet on Saturday, February 7, at 10:30 AM in the Parish Center at St. Vincent’s. Participants are welcome to arrive at 10:15 AM for coffee, light refreshments, and quiet fellowship.
Each meeting begins with Mid-Morning Prayer (Terce) led by Fr. Francis, followed by the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel, a brief reflection, and an opportunity for questions. A period of voluntary sharing and discussion on the Gospel and its application to daily Christian life follows.

On Saturday, February 7, our Parish will host the Called and Gifted program, a powerful opportunity for every parishioner to discern how God has uniquely equipped you for His mission. The Church needs your gifts. This workshop helps uncover the spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit has given you and offers guidance on how they can be fruitfully placed at the service of God, the Church, and our Parish. All are welcome to attend!

Blessing of Throats
For the Feast of St. Blaise, both Parishes will have a Blessing of Throats at all Masses.
Candlemas
We will have a Solemn Mass at 6 PM at St. Vincent’s. A reception will follow the Mass and Solemn Compline will be sung at 8 PM.
Young Adult Winter Retreat
Young adults in their 20s to mid-30s are invited to a day retreat in the Lower Church at St. Vincent's. This winter retreat invites young adults to reflect on Christ’s call to love, not only in prayer, but also in our concrete relationships of daily life.

Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P.
For the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, a Dominican friar and Doctor of the Church known as the Doctor Angelicus, we will have a Sung Mass at 6 PM at St. Vincent’s. Enrollment in the Angelic Warfare Confraternity will be made in the Baptistry following the Sung Mass for those interested.
The weekly Wednesday Holy Hour will take place as usual.

Prof. Ahern is chair of the Dorothy Day Guild and professor of Religious Studies at Manhattan College. He will share the dramatic life story of the Servant of God and founder of the Catholic Worker movement.

March for Life - DC
We invite all parishioners and friends committed to the dignity of human life to join us for the March for Life. The bus will depart from St. Vincent’s at 6:45 AM, and we will conclude our pilgrimage in Washington, D.C., at approximately 6:30 PM, returning to New York afterward.
If you are unable to travel with us, you are warmly encouraged to join us for Mass at 6:00 AM before our departure.

Blessed Stanley Rother, by Fr. Francis, O.P.
Fr. Francis Belanger, O.P., will share the story of Blessed Stanley Rother, the first American-born priest to be officially recognized as a martyr. Ordained in Oklahoma, Blessed Stanley gave his life in missionary service to the Church in Guatemala, where he was killed in 1981.

Epiphany Party
We will have our Epiphany Party after the 12 NOON Mass on Sunday, January 4, in the Lower Church at St. Vincent’s. We will sing Christmas Carols, celebrate the Lord’s birth and various epiphanies, and have a bake-off. There will be judges, and there will be prizes. This is open to parishioners of all ages, and we hope that you’ll be able to join and bring a friend or three!
Blessing of Epiphany Water
The blessing of Epiphany Water will take place on Saturday, January 3, after the 6 PM Mass at St. Vincent’s. We will bless chalk during the Epiphany Water Blessing. The blessed chalk and corresponding prayers to bless your home with will be available to take home after the blessing.

Saturday, January 3, is the monthly meeting of the Visitation Circle. It will be held at St. Vincent's, starting with the recitation of the Rosary at 11:35 AM, followed by Mass at 12 NOON. A meeting will follow in the Church Priory. Since refreshments are pre-ordered, cancellations are requested 24 hours in advance. To cover lunch and related costs, a free-will donation is appreciated.
Members will celebrate the beginning of a new year and discuss upcoming 2026 events.
The Visitation Circle celebrates Catholic women living on their own in New York as widowed, divorced, single, or separated women.

Octave Day - Mary, Mother of God
New Year’s Day is the Octave Day of the Nativity, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and a Holy Day of Obligation.
The Parish will observe a regular weekday schedule of Masses and Confessions. We will offer a Solemn Mass at 6 PM at St. Vincent Ferrer, for which the Schola Cantorum will sing:

Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas
Masses for the Seventh Day within the Octave of Christmas will be offered at:
St. Catherine’s: 7 AM | 11:45 AM
St. Vincent’s: 8 AM | 12:10 PM
The evening Masses on Wednesday, December 31, will be for the Vigil of the Solemnity and will satisfy the Thursday, January 1, obligation.
While the regular Wednesday evening Holy Hour is canceled on December 31, there will be a special Holy Hour at 11 PM, concluding with a Low Mass at 12 MIDNIGHT, which will also satisfy Thursday’s obligation.
Please enter via the mid-block door on 66th Street for the MIDNIGHT Mass.
