The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation and the Patronal Feast of the United States.

We will have a Solemn Mass offered at 6 PM at St. Vincent Ferrer, for which the Schola Cantorum will sing Mass in E-flat Major, Op. 109 “Cantus Missae” and Rorate caeli, Op. 176, No. 1 by Josef Rheinberger, and Ave Maria, Op. 25 by Vinzenz Goller.

In addition to the regular weekday schedule of Mass and Confession, there will be a 10 AM School Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer.

Please note: The evening Masses on Sunday, December 7, will be for the Second Sunday of Advent and will not satisfy the obligation for the Solemnity.

The chapel choir of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, UK, and its director, David Skinner, will offer a short choral concert following the 6 PM Mass for the Immaculate Conception at St. Vincent’s. The concert is free and all are invited.
